Garment Care
PERFORMANCE POLO’S AND LAYERS
Our performance fabrics are built to stretch, breathe, and bounce back. You can pull them straight from the dryer and get on with your day, however a little extra care goes a long way. With less heat and a touch of shaping, these innovative fabrics will stay crisp and color-true for years, just like your favorite natural fiber knits.
Real-world best care routine:
- Wash cold or warm
- Turn inside-out; use a mesh bag to fully protect color and prevent abrasion
- Dryer is fine, but skipping high heat will extend life. Air-fluff is a better option
- Remove immediately after washing
- Hang on a hanger, button the top button, and give the collar a quick shape
- Avoid fabric softeners (they weaken technical fibers)
- Embroidered logo thread can pucker from excessive heat
PERFORMANCE PANTS & SHORTS
Performance bottoms are built to stretch, move, and bounce back, but they do best without excessive dryer heat. Keep the process simple and they’ll retain their shape for years.
Real-world care routine:
- Wash warm or cold
- Hang to dry, they dry quickly and keep their structure
- Avoid the dryer for maximum longevity
COTTON PANTS & SHORTS
Cotton ages beautifully; softening, shaping, and developing character the more you wear it. A bit of heat will give them a slightly more lived-in look, while gentler care keeps color and structure intact for years. Natural fibers reward intentional care, and with the right routine, your favorite pair can last a lifetime.
Real-world care routine:
If you like a broken-in, relaxed feel (some shrinkage/fading
is fine):
- Wash warm or cold
- Dry normally
- Remove while warm and hand-smooth
If you want to preserve color, shape, and length:
- Wash cold on delicate
- 5–10 minutes in the dryer (just enough to release wrinkles)
- Flat dry or hang dry
- Hand press as needed for a clean finish
Pro tip:
- Always wash and dry cotton pants once before hemming, natural fibers shrink slightly on their first cycle.
OUTERWEAR (Softshells, Jackets, Vests)
Outerwear performs best when kept clean, but frequent washing can break down technical coatings. Clean lightly and only when needed to preserve weather resistance and longevity.
Real-world care routine:
- Wash sparingly; spot clean first
- Zip/button fully before washing
- Cold water, gentle cycle
- Hang dry only, never use heat
- Dry clean only if the garment truly needs deep cleaning
SWEATERS (Wool, Cashmere, Merino)
Natural fibers are self-cleaning, odor-resistant, and surprisingly low maintenance. The biggest rule: treat them gently and avoid heat or hanging. They’ll reward you with decades of wear.
Real-world care routine:
- Wash rarely, spot clean first
- Hand wash in cold (Woolite optional)
- Gently squeeze; never wring
- Lay flat on a towel and reshape as they dry
- For machine-washing wool: inside-out, mesh bag, cold gentle cycle, lay flat to dry
- Never hang sweaters, always fold
COTTON SPORT SHIRTS
Natural cotton wovens are built for the long haul. The kind of pieces that can last a lifetime with just a little extra care. Cool water, quick drying, and a bit of finesse while damp keep the fabric strong, the color true, and the finish crisp. Treat them well and they’ll only get better with age.
Real-world care routine:
- Wash cold
- Remove immediately after the cycle
- Smooth wrinkles by hand while damp
- Iron while slightly damp for a perfect press (the fabric’s natural moisture creates steam)
- Hang to dry
- OR choose light/medium starch at the dry cleaner for a long-lasting, hard-wearing finish
