Pierceson Coody's professional story began with a standout college career at the University of Texas. He helped the Longhorns win the 2022 NCAA team championship and finished first in that year's PGA TOUR University rankings, opening a direct route into Korn Ferry Tour competition.
Coody turned professional in 2022 and progressed through the Korn Ferry Tour to earn PGA TOUR membership. His career sits within a notable golf lineage: his grandfather Charles won the 1971 Masters, and his twin brother Parker also played at Texas before entering professional golf.
In 2026, Coody added another strong result at Torrey Pines, finishing tied for second at the Farmers Insurance Open. A closing 65 brought him to 16 under for the tournament. It was another substantial step in a journey from national college success to contention on the PGA TOUR.
