The road to here.
Steve Lewton was introduced to golf by his father at three. Football occupied his early years, and he returned to golf after a knee injury while playing county rugby as a teenager. College golf at North Carolina State followed, where he won twice, including a playoff victory over Dustin Johnson.
Lewton earned European Tour playing privileges through the 2010 Qualifying School, opening with a 63 before taking the twentieth card. His career later developed across Asia, where the Mercuries Taiwan Masters became one of his winning milestones.
In 2024, he claimed a second Asian Tour title at the Mandiri Indonesia Open after a playoff. His 2026 Asian Tour participation continues that international career; at the Taiwan Glass Taifong Open, an opening 68 placed him in the group tied fifth after the first round.
