Zack Holton reached the top of World Long Drive in 2025 with his first Open Division world championship. Competing at Bigfoot Turf Farm in Colorado, the Birmingham golfer produced a 471-yard winning drive, a career best and the longest championship-winning drive in the competition’s history.
That title completed a season with three victories. Holton was the only Open Division player to win multiple events in 2025, and the championship lifted him to world No. 1. His record belongs to specialist long-drive competition, where distance and head-to-head advancement define the result.
The official October 2, 2026 rankings update places Holton at world No. 3. He heads into the October 15–17 championship at Wildcreek Golf Course in Reno as the reigning champion, with a title defense still ahead as of October 14.
